Who the club is for, how a person reads the application, and who gets in.
Who is Founder Feast for?
Founder Feast is for entrepreneurs, startup founders, CEOs, co-founders, and business builders in Vancouver, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Whether you’re at the idea stage or scaling a growing company, if you’re in the arena building something, this is for you.
How does the vetting process work?
Every application is reviewed by our team. We look at your background, what you’re building, your energy and intent. We’re not looking for the biggest companies. We’re looking for people who are genuinely engaged in entrepreneurship and would add value to the table.
Do I have to be a founder to apply?
Most seats go to founders, but investors, operators, doctors, professors, athletes and artists all sit at our tables. A person reads every application and decides on the room, not on a job title.
How long does the application take?
Two minutes. There are a few questions about what you are building and who you would like to meet, and a person reads every answer.
Can I apply from the app?
Yes. The application in the app is the same one as on the site. A person reads it, and you hear back by email.
Can I bring a friend?
Not to the same dinner, that’s by design. The magic is meeting people outside your existing circle. But we’d love for your friend to apply separately. Refer them and you’ll both get priority.
The dinners
What a Thursday looks like, from booking a seat to finding out who is at the table.
Where do the dinners take place?
At handpicked restaurants in Vancouver, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Vancouver: Downtown/Gastown, Kitsilano, North Vancouver, Mount Pleasant. San Francisco: SoMa and Mission Bay, the Mission, Hayes Valley and Lower Haight. Los Angeles: Santa Monica and Venice, West Hollywood and Beverly Hills, Downtown and the Arts District. You pick the neighbourhood when you book a table.
How long until I get my first dinner?
We read applications within a day or so and email you either way. Once you’re in, you book the nights you want in the app; a table runs every other Thursday in each city. Your tablemates and the restaurant are revealed in the app 24 hours before dinner.
Do I have to come to every dinner?
No. We run a dinner every other Thursday and you book the ones you want in the app. There is no charge for the nights you skip.
When do I find out who is at my table?
24 hours before the dinner, when we confirm the restaurant. Never sooner.
How do I book a dinner?
Open Dinners, pick a Thursday in your city and reserve a seat. Membership covers the seat, and you pay the restaurant for what you eat and drink on the night.
Can I cancel a seat?
Yes, from the dinner page. Cancel free up to 24 hours before. Inside that window a cancellation counts the same as not showing up, because a seat at a small table is hard to fill twice. If you do not show and do not tell us, we charge $50 CAD.
Membership and pricing
One membership, three cities, and no per-seat charge.
How much does it cost?
Membership is $39.99 CAD a month in Vancouver, $39.99 USD in San Francisco and Los Angeles (about $9.23 CAD a week, billed monthly), and covers a seat at every dinner you book, in Vancouver, San Francisco and Los Angeles. We also run occasional featured events, ticketed separately and priced per event, with a member rate for members. Either way, curation, matching, restaurant selection, and logistics are covered; you pay for your own food and drinks at the restaurant separately.
Can I pay for a few months at once?
Yes, in the app. A 3-month plan is $89.99 CAD in Vancouver or $89.99 USD in San Francisco and Los Angeles, 25 percent less than paying monthly. A 6-month plan is $119.99 CAD in Vancouver or $119.99 USD in San Francisco and Los Angeles, 50 percent less than paying monthly. Cancel anytime.
Which cities does this work in?
Vancouver, San Francisco and Los Angeles, with one membership that works in all three. Each city has its own page with the neighbourhoods we book in.
How do I cancel?
If you subscribed on the web, open Billing in your account and choose Cancel membership. Access continues until the end of the period you paid for, and you can reactivate from the same page at any time before then. If you subscribed in the iPhone app, cancel in your Apple ID subscriptions; on Android, in Google Play subscriptions. Cancelling never deletes your account.
How do I change my card?
Billing in your web account opens a secure Stripe page where you can update the payment method. Subscriptions bought in the app are billed by Apple or Google, so the card lives with them.
The app
Booking, the table, the chat and the other members live in the app and on the web.
Is the Founder Feast app free?
Downloading the app and applying are free. Sitting at a table needs membership, $39.99 CAD a month in Vancouver or $39.99 USD in San Francisco and Los Angeles, which covers every dinner. You pay for your own food and drinks at the restaurant.
Is it on Android?
Yes. The app is on the App Store for iPhone and on Google Play for Android, and everything also works in the browser at founderfeast.com with the same account.
Do I need the app to be a member?
No. The web app does everything the phone app does. The app is faster for the Thursday reminder, the table confirmation and messages.

Help
Signing in, your profile and your data. Everything else is on the support page.
How do I sign in?
Use Continue with Google, Continue with Apple, or your email and password on the sign-in page, in the app or at founderfeast.com/login. It is one account across all three.
How do I edit my profile?
Open Profile in the app, or founderfeast.com/app/profile on the web, and choose Edit. Name, company, what you are building and the links you want to share all live there.
How do I delete my account?
From Profile, choose Delete account and confirm twice. It signs you out for good, removes your profile and notification tokens, cancels an active web subscription immediately and takes you off any upcoming table. Past dinners stay in our records under an anonymous id only. A subscription bought in the iPhone or Android app has to be cancelled with Apple or Google as well, because we cannot cancel those for you.
What do you do with my data?
The privacy page explains what we keep, who processes it and how to turn analytics off in your browser.
Ready for a seat at the table?
The application takes two minutes and a person reads it, usually within a day.
