Founder Dinners in San Francisco: Five Seats, One Table, Every Thursday

There are more founders per block in San Francisco than anywhere on earth, and it is still strangely hard to get five of them around one table. That is the entire idea behind Founder Feast. Five hand-picked founders, one restaurant, every Thursday night. What Founder Feast is

Founder Feast is a dinner club for founders. We have run weekly Thursday dinners in Vancouver since 2025. On September 3, 2026, San Francisco and Los Angeles launch on the same night.

The format is deliberately small. Five hand-picked founders per table, at a restaurant we choose. You find out which restaurant, and who is joining you, 48 hours before dinner. No panels, no badges, no pitches. Just dinner.

Membership is $49 a month and covers your seat at every dinner. You pay the restaurant for what you eat on the night. Cancel anytime. You apply once, and every member is vetted before they ever sit down. That filter is most of the product. The other part is the matching, which is why you do not pick your own table.

How a dinner night works, start to finish

Here is the full loop, from application to the walk home:

• You apply once. Tell us what you are building and where you are at. Every application gets read, and every member is vetted. If you are accepted, you never apply again. Apply here, it takes a few minutes.
• You book your Thursday. Dinners run weekly. Book the Thursday that works, skip the ones that do not. Your membership covers your seat either way.
• 48 hours out, the reveal. Two days before dinner you find out the restaurant and the four founders joining you. Enough time to get curious, not enough time to overthink it.
• 7pm, dinner. You show up, find your table, and eat. There is no agenda, no icebreaker script, no one holding a clipboard. Five founders at a good restaurant will find plenty to talk about.
• After, it keeps going. Members propose coffees, runs, and hikes between dinners, and those are free to join. The dinner is the main event. The rest is what grows out of it.

Why tables of five

Five is the largest group that can hold a single conversation. At six or seven, the table splits in two. At a 200-person mixer, you have thirty conversations that each last ninety seconds. At five, everyone hears everything, everyone talks, and nobody spends the night trapped in a corner.

Five also changes what people are willing to say. Founders do not admit their real numbers, their co-founder tension, or their doubt in a room full of strangers with name tags. They do say it across a table, to four peers who have been vetted the same way they were. That is the mechanism, and it is why founder dinners work when bigger formats leave you with a pocket full of business cards and nothing else.

We choose the restaurant for the same reason we choose the table. A good room, a real meal, and no logistics on your plate. Your only job is to show up.

Who it is for, and who it is not

We would rather tell you now than have you spend a Thursday in the wrong room.

Founder Feast is for you if:

• You are a founder, actively building. That is the bar, and we vet for it. Stage and sector vary wildly by design. The vetting is about whether you are really in it.
• You want peers, not an audience. The best tables are founders comparing notes as equals, not one person holding court.
• You will actually show up. Weekly cadence is the feature. One dinner is a nice evening. Ten dinners is a network.

• You are selling to the table. Founders smell an agenda in minutes, and it flattens the whole evening.
